Movement for every body.

Community for every soul.

Pilates in the Park 501(c)(3) invites all individuals to experience classical mat Pilates in an outdoor setting free from mirrors, judgment, or walls. With the sun as the spotlight and the wind as the soundtrack, each class is an opportunity to root deeper into one’s body, mind, and soul.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This 50 minute, mat-based Classical Pilates class offers a full body workout rooted in breath, control, and precision. Class begins with intentional breath work, moves through the classical mat sequence, and incorporates energizing cardio and sculpting elements to build strength and endurance. Finish class with a grounding stretch and shared community announcements.

Open to all levels, we offer modifications and progressions so each participant can move safely, confidently, and with full-body awareness.

Bring a mat, bring a friend, and bring yourself exactly as you are.

Who we are

Pilates in the Park 501(c)(3) began as a grassroots offering to expand accessibility to high-quality health and wellness activities. The weekly class brings together like-minded individuals who value fitness, mindfulness, and wellbeing — all striving for positivity and communal strength.

Founder Khetanya Henderson, a lifelong mover and wellness advocate, envisioned a space where classical Pilates could meet the earth, where breath and body could reconnect, and where all individuals, regardless of financial means or physical restrictions, could participate. What started as a few mats on the grass quickly evolved into a weekly ritual for people seeking growth and connection.

It’s not just a class — it’s a movement. One that celebrates accessibility, equity, and the collective power of moving together. Whether you’re new to the mat or a longtime practitioner, Pilates in the Park welcomes you to your breath, your strength, and your KKRU.
